Steve Festa has been coaching fastpitch softball for the past 11 years  He was previously the JV coach for the Saint Anthony's High School softball program in South Huntington.  Before that he ran the Bayport Phantoms travel baseball organization and coached several teams to the NJBL summer and fall season championshiips. 

When asked the difference between the two he noted " Boys need to play good to feel good and girls need to feel good to play good."

Coach Festa has also given his time to many youth groups over the past years such as The Boy Scouts of America, PAL Football and CYO basketball and brings his youth coaching experience from those years to The LI Hurricanes.

Steve's softball resume is an impressive one, he has been head coach of the LI Lady Phantoms, coached with The LI Crush, has held the position of President of Softball for The Bayport Bluepoint Little League for the past 9 years and is the Asst. District Administrator of Softball for Little League District 35. Coach Steve's teams have many league and tournament victories but he lists the development od each of his players as his biggest accomplishments.  

Coach Steve  lives in Patchogue with his wife Tina and his three children, Steven (18), Gabriella (16), and Angelina (8) with Gabriella on the LI Hurricanes 18U Gold team with Angelina as thier biggest fan.
