Courtney Frisina enters her eigth year coaching with the LI Hurricanes. This will be Courtney's eigth year as a coach for our organization, but not her eigth year involved in the
sport of fastpitch softball. Courtney has coached teams 12U-18U in our organization and now directs our training program for player at every level.
Courtney is a graduate of Saint Joseph's College in Patchogue where she was head coach of the collegiate summer softball team in 2012. She was also a 4 year starter for the St. Joe's college
team as a middle infielder where her success on defense and prowess at the plate (.355 Avg) earned her the team captain's spot for her junior and senior years.
As captain in 2012, her gritty, agressive style of play helped lead her team to a ECAC Championship, and caught the eye of LI Hurricanes coaches who quickly offered her a position to be an
assistant coach on the 12U Force. After a very successful season teaching fundamentals to our young girls, she has earned Coach Frisina is now in charge of trainng for the organization..
Courtney is also the Asst. Coach af the Saint Anthony's High School Varsity Team in South Huntington.
During her time enrolled at St. Joseph's she was also vice president of the student athlete advisory committe. She holds a bachelor of science degree in business admnistration and marketing. She
recived her masters degree in sports entertainment and management from Hofstra University. She attended St. Anthony's high school where she was a multi-sport player and currently resides in
Smithtown NY and is a varsity softball coach at her alma mater Saint Anthony's High School.
